intro
Dr. Getdown captures the heady vibe of 70s German jazz-funk with Peter Herbolzheimer and Mild Maniac Orchestra then lights up the dancefloor with Latin and Afro grooves from Port Authority, Captain Yossarian and Ethiopian Brothers. Plus razor sharp flows from Kardinal & Black Thought, retro reworks by DJ Guzl and Tom Caruana and a glamourous brass blast from Mama Digdown.

Speaking of German jazz-funk, this movie scene set in Germany comes to mind:
Naive female - "I just wanna hear the music, that's all."
Record collector - "Is it too complicated to just keep my records in their category, ok? Just put the rock'n'roll in with the rock'n'roll, put the r&b in with the r&b...I mean you're not gonna put Charlie Parker in with the rock'n'roll, would you?"
Female responds - "I don't know...who is Charlie Parker?"
Record collector yells, infuriatingly - "JAZZ!!!"
Name the movie for bonus points :-)
